Emotional vulnerability and research capacity in medical postgraduates: toward understanding the reciprocal relationship and proposing targeted interventions.
Аннотация
As a backbone of medical research and clinical services, medical postgraduates require coordinated development of mental wellness and research capacity. In recent years, emotional vulnerability-characterized by poor emotion regulation, low stress resilience, and elevated risks of anxiety and depression-has become prevalent among this population and may impede the advancement of their research capacity. Drawing on resilience theory and educational ecology perspectives, this study develops a three-dimensional "psychological-cognitive-behavioral" analytical framework to examine theoretical associations between emotional vulnerability and diminished research capacity in medical postgraduates, alongside feasible intervention pathways. A two-dimensional "psychological - ecological" theoretical intervention framework is preliminarily constructed. This work offers an integrated interdisciplinary lens to inform research capacity cultivation for medical postgraduates and delivers actionable suggestions for reforms within medical graduate education systems.
