Development of a compact induction oven system for an electron cyclotron resonance ion source.
Аннотация
This paper presents the development of a high-temperature induction oven designed for use in the Dubna electron cyclotron resonance ion source with permanent magnets for superheavy element synthesis experiments at the Flerov Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions. The focus is on ensuring stable evaporation of refractory metals, specifically 50Ti and 54Cr. Multiphysics simulation was carried out in COMSOL Multiphysics, accounting for electromagnetic and thermal processes as well as radiative heat transfer. Experimental studies confirmed the effectiveness of the proposed design and the consistency between simulation results and real operating conditions. The data demonstrate the potential of the developed oven for generating ion beams of refractory metals.
