Аннотация
Psychiatric diagnoses are important classifications but should not be understood as discrete disease entities.Genetic and longitudinal studies suggest that vulnerabilities, symptoms, and trajectories cut across diagnostic boundaries. Modern evolutionary medicine can deepen our understanding of why overlap, heterogeneity, and shifting trajectories are so pervasive in psychiatry.This perspective preserves the practical value of diagnoses while offering a broader basis for clinical understanding, research and prevention.
