Four-year trends in health findings among hospital staff an ecological time-series study 2022-2025.
Аннотация
BACKGROUND
Annual health examinations provide an opportunity to monitor major health findings among hospital staff. This study described examination uptake, sex-specific differences, and four-year trends in major health findings using institutional annual health examination reports.
METHODS
An ecological time-series study was conducted using aggregated annual health examination reports from 2022 to 2025. Examination uptake, age composition, sex-specific differences, and temporal trends in major health findings were evaluated using annual institutional summary data. Annual sex differences were assessed using chi-square or Fisher's exact tests. Temporal trends across the four examination cycles were evaluated using the Cochran-Armitage trend test.
RESULTS
A total of 14,077 annual examination records were included. Examination uptake remained above 90% across all four examination cycles, with female staff consistently showing higher uptake than male staff (all p < 0.001). Dental and Periodontal Diseases remained the most frequently detected health finding, whereas Dyslipidemia, Thyroid Nodules, and Overweight or Obesity were also commonly detected. Significant temporal changes were observed across all major health findings (all p ≤ 0.02). Marked sex-specific differences were identified, with metabolic abnormalities more common in male staff and thyroid-related abnormalities more common in female staff. The prevalence of Breast Nodules among examined female staff increased significantly across the four examination cycles (p < 0.001).
CONCLUSION
Major health findings remained common among hospital staff over the four-year study period, with significant temporal changes and clear sex-specific differences. These findings support targeted health monitoring and preventive management in hospital settings.
