Аннотация
INTRODUCTION: Although benign, recalcitrant viral warts can cause significant discomfort and affect quality of life. While individual treatments have shown promise, such as intralesional administration of the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine, carbon dioxide (CO2) laser therapy, and neodymium yttrium aluminum garnet (Nd:YAG) laser therapy, no previous reports have described a combined approach using all three modalities.
CASE PRESENTATION: We present the case of a 40-year-old female patient with multiple recalcitrant periungual warts resistant to conventional treatments. Combined treatment with the MMR vaccine, CO2 laser, and Nd:YAG laser therapy resulted in the complete resolution of all lesions, with no recurrence observed at a 1-year follow-up.
CONCLUSION: This case suggests that combining these therapies may enhance treatment efficacy compared to the use of each of these modalities alone. However, further research is recommended to validate this approach.
