Аннотация
Ectodermal dysplasia (ED) is frequently associated with congenital tooth agenesis and severe alveolar ridge hypoplasia, making dental rehabilitation challenging. We report the multidisciplinary rehabilitation of a 24-year-old man with ED who presented with oligodontia, severe maxillary alveolar ridge hypoplasia, and only 4 remaining permanent teeth. Treatment included orthodontic correction, restoration of the remaining teeth, bilateral maxillary sinus floor elevation, and staged implant rehabilitation. Two posterior implants were initially placed following sinus augmentation and subsequently served as anchorage points, together with fixation screws, for stabilization of a customized three-dimensional-printed titanium mesh during guided bone regeneration. Following bone augmentation, 4 additional implants were placed in the regenerated regions, and all 6 implants were restored with fixed implant-supported prostheses. At approximately 4 years after definitive prosthetic rehabilitation, all implants remained functional, with healthy peri-implant tissues and no biological or mechanical complications. This case demonstrates the feasibility of integrating implant-assisted stabilization of a patient-specific three-dimensional-printed titanium mesh into a digitally planned multidisciplinary treatment strategy for the reconstruction of severe maxillary alveolar defects in a patient with ED.
