Аннотация
Breast pseudoaneurysm is an uncommon vascular complication after vacuum-assisted breast biopsy. Ultrasound-guided probe compression is typically recommended as first-line conservative management; however, technical failure may occur when probe slippage and breast parenchymal mobility prevent sustained focal occlusion of the feeding artery at the pseudoaneurysm neck. This Technical Note describes a modified ultrasound-guided compression technique that combines targeted finger compression of the pseudoaneurysm neck with concurrent breast stabilization by a second operator. A 63-year-old woman developed a postbiopsy breast pseudoaneurysm that persisted despite conventional probe compression. Using the dual-operator technique, complete thrombosis was achieved within 20 min under continuous Doppler monitoring. Follow-up ultrasound confirmed durable occlusion with interval resolution, and the technique did not affect subsequent breast-conserving surgery. This modified compression approach provides a practical, noninvasive option for managing postbiopsy breast pseudoaneurysms before escalation to invasive treatment.
