Аннотация

This study examined the relationships between awareness of rational drug use and two outcomes-medication adherence and compliance with treatment-and assessed whether perceived social support moderated these relationships. The sample consisted of 314 older adult patients who attended the geriatrics department of a university hospital. The study revealed that higher awareness of rational drug use was associated with higher levels of medication adherence and compliance with treatment. Moreover, the positive association between awareness of rational drug use and medication adherence was stronger at higher levels of perceived social support.
