Metastatic adenocarcinoma centered in the male urethra with intestinal differentiation and uncertain accessory-gland origin presenting as urethral stricture: a case report.
Аннотация
A 45-year-old man with recurrent urinary retention and inflammatory-appearing urethral strictures was diagnosed after biopsy with tubulo-papillary adenocarcinoma showing intestinal differentiation. MRI revealed a bulky bulbar-penile urethral mass invading both corpora cavernosa, with nodal and bone disease. The accessory-gland origin remained uncertain, and a gastrointestinal primary could not be conclusively excluded. Six cycles of cisplatin-gemcitabine produced regression of abdominal-pelvic lymphadenopathies but progression of the urethral lesion, indicating a mixed response. Palliative radiotherapy and surgery for a severe penoscrotal infectious complication were required. The patient subsequently deteriorated and died in 2025.
