Аннотация
BACKGROUND: Hair plays a central role in personal identity, societal interactions, and cultural expression. As a result, hair growth, preservation, and loss are common dermatologic concerns for many patients across age groups and sexes. Recent data support the potential role of Moringa-derived formulations in the management of hair-related outcomes, due to their bioactive properties.
METHODS: A systematic search of PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Lens.org was conducted on January 2, 2026, according to PRISMA guidelines, for studies evaluating Moringa species and Moringa-derived preparations for hair-related outcomes.
RESULTS: Out of the 448 screened publications, 5 studies met the inclusion criteria, comprising 4 in vivo animal studies and 1 case series.
CONCLUSIONS: Moringa-derived formulations were associated with increased hair length and hair weight in animal models, as well as reduced hair shedding in human study participants. Randomized controlled trials are necessary to establish whether Moringa is a suitable candidate for the management of hair growth, hair preservation, and hair loss.  .
