Unrepaired bladder exstrophy associated with genital prolapse in an adult: Case report and literature review.
Аннотация
Bladder exstrophy is a rare congenital malformation within the exstrophy-epispadias complex, usually diagnosed in the neonatal period. Untreated cases persisting into adulthood are exceptional and may be associated with major functional disorders, including pelvic organ prolapse. We report the case of a 25-year-old woman with an uncorrected complete bladder exstrophy, revealed by lifelong urinary incontinence and postpartum genital prolapse. Radiological assessment showed pubic symphysis diastasis without involvement of the upper urinary tract. Management requires a multidisciplinary approach aimed at improving functional outcomes and quality of life.
