Аннотация
Endohepatology is a rapidly expanding field that combines hepatological expertise with advanced interventional endoscopy. It refers to the use of endoscopic techniques for the diagnosis and management of hepatobiliary diseases and, in particular, complications related to portal hypertension. This approach primarily relies on endoscopic ultrasound and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, which allow for a direct and precise access to the liver, the biliary tree, and the portal venous system. Endohepatology thus exemplifies the shift toward an integrated and minimally invasive management of liver diseases. It enables gastroenterologists and hepatologists to play a more direct role in diagnosing and treating their patients.
