OBJECTIVE: To investigate the application value of four urethral plate-preserving surgeries for mid or distal hypospadias in children: Mathieu, G-TIP (inner preputial inlay graft combined with tubularized incised plate), TPOIF (transverse preputial onlay island flap), and TIP techniques.
METHODS: We performed a retrospective analysis of clinical data from 79 children (average age 42.2 months) admitted to our center from January 2022 to December 2023. Surgical procedures included G-TIP (23 cases), TPOIF (17 cases), Mathieu (13 cases), and TIP (26 cases), with an average follow-up of 16 months.
