OBJECTIVE: To investigate the blood supply of primary lung cancer (PLC) using CT angiography for bronchial artery (BA) and pulmonary artery (PA).
METHODS: Thin-section enhanced multi-layer spiral CT (MSCT) were carried out in 147 primary lung cancer patients and 46 healthy subjects as control. Three-dimensional images of bronchial artery and pulmonary artery were obtained using volume render (VR) and multi-planar reconstruction (MPR) or maximum intensity projection (MIP) at the workstation, and their morphological findings and relationship with the mass were assessed.

This article presents a description of injuries among 24312 Canadian adolescents, aged 12-24 years, based on the Canadian Community Health Survey, 2000-2001. A total of 3214 (25.6%) males and 2227 (16.5%) females reported having at least one serious injury in the past year. The leading causes of injury in adolescents were: falls; overexertion or strenuous movement; accidentally bumped, pushed or bitten; and accidentally struck or crushed by objects. PURPOSE: To report our experience in the use of percutaneous extraction of common bile duct stones detected in the post-cholecystectomy period.
METHODS: Forty-two patients in whom endoscopic cannulation and/or sphincterotomy had failed or could not be done due to several reasons underwent balloon dilatation of the ampulla of Vater and subsequent advancement of the stones via the percutaneous transhepatic route or T-tube tract.

METHODS: All occupational injuries reported to a INSS (National Institute of Social Security) center in Lages, SC, Brazil from January 1997 to January 1999 were identified.
