Colorectal cancer (CRC) is a leading cause of cancer-related mortality worldwide. We report a case of CRC in a man in his late 70s with hereditary haemochromatosis (HH) who historically required venesection two to three times per year to maintain target ferritin levels. Cestode larvae of Anthobothrium sp. were collected from the caecum and stomach of the common squid Loligo vulgaris Lamarck, 1798 (Cephalopoda: Loliginidae) in Tunisian waters (Bay of Bizerte and Gulf of Tunis), with the highest prevalence recorded in the Gulf of Tunis (52.94%). We studied the malaria transmission dynamics in Kassena Nankana district (KND), a site in northern Ghana proposed for testing malaria vaccines. Intensive mosquito sampling for 1 year using human landing catches in three micro-ecological sites (irrigated, lowland and rocky highland) yielded 18 228 mosquitoes. PURPOSE: This retrospective cohort study aims to identify the incidence and type of appendiceal abnormalities in the various subtypes of congenital pouch colon (CPC) associated with anorectal malformation. The possible embryopathogenesis of appendiceal abnormalities in CPC is also discussed.

Bronchoscopy is the preferred management approach for airway evaluation and retrieval of an aspirated foreign body.
