Nitric oxide (NO) is an important intra- and intercellular messenger controlling many biological processes. It is synthesized by NO synthases, which have been found also in granulosa cells. Experiments were carried out to develop an improved IVF system for prepubertal goat oocytes matured in vitro. To determine the role of calcium and calmodulin in mouse oocyte maturation, we examined the distribution of intracellular calcium during mouse oocyte maturation by using Mira Cal Imaging System.
