BACKGROUND: The SIOPEL-4 study has demonstrated that dose-dense cisplatin-based chemotherapy dramatically improves outcome in children with high-risk hepatoblastoma in western countries. However, the feasibility and safety of this regimen have not been clarified in Japanese patients.
METHODS: A pilot study, JPLT3-H, was designed to evaluate the safety profile of the SIOPEL-4 regimen in Japanese children with newly diagnosed hepatoblastoma with either metastatic disease or low alpha-fetoprotein.

We present the first young paediatric patient with desmoplastic small round cell tumour (DSRCT) treated in UK with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC). A 7-year-old girl was diagnosed with abdominal DSRCT with peritoneal and liver metastases. METHODS: We retrospectively examined consecutive patients with primary or secondary liver lesions treated at our institution using a 0.35T hybrid MR-Linac (Viewray Inc., Mountain View, CA, USA). Online-adaptive treatment planning was used to account for interfractional anatomical changes, and real-time intrafractional motion management using online 2D cine MRI was performed using a respiratory gating approach.
