INTRODUCTION: Cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) are sub-divided into intrahepatic (iCCA) or extrahepatic (eCCA). eCCA are further subdivided into perihilar (pCCA) and distal (dCCA). Current and previous versions of the WHO International Coding of Disease and Oncology classifications (ICD) have separate topography codes for iCCA and eCCA, but none for pCCA. OBJECTIVES: Adenoid cystic carcinoma (ACCA) is an uncommon primary malignancy of salivary glands and rarely nonsalivary tissue. This study aims to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy of ACCA on fine needle aspiration (FNA) material and the associated challenges.
METHODS: A search on electronic pathology database from 2006 to 2016 at The Johns Hopkins Hospital found 83 cytology specimens diagnosed as ACCA, 49 with histology follow-up.

In modern poultry production practices, the source(s) of the establishing microbes and their overall contribution during development of gastrointestinal tract communities are still unclear. Children with metastatic hepatoblastoma have a poor prognosis, even with dose intensification of cisplatin and doxorubicin. Vincristine and irinotecan have demonstrated activity in high risk disease. This report describes a 3-year-old girl with metastatic hepatoblastoma with unresectable disease after 5 cycles of cisplatin, 5-fluorouracil, vincristine, and doxorubicin who had a complete response of her metastatic disease to vincristine and irinotecan (intravenous and oral forms), allowing surgical resection of her liver disease. She remains in remission 48 months since therapy completion.
