The purpose of the study was to evaluate the effects of taking prophylactic leave of absence from work during a twin pregnancy. Pregnancy outcome for 78 women who were prescribed prophylactic leave of absence from work to prevent preterm delivery was compared with a group of 78 twin-pregnant controls who did not take prophylactic leave. Gestational duration and birth weight did not differ between the two groups. The results indicate that prophylactic leave of absence from work did not improve the outcome of a twin pregnancy.

This paper will describe the participation program, its operation, and the potential advantages and disadvantages of a participation election. The paper concludes that, while it may be advantageous for some physicians to be identified as "participating" in Medicare, this is an individual decision that should only be made upon a careful examination of many factors.

Following trauma to the anterior teeth during adolescence, exact clinical and roentgenologic records of the findings as well as documentation of the direct and indirect consequences of the trauma are required for forensic, evaluatory, and insurance reasons. Regular control examinations over a period of several years are necessary, since secondary damage may only be demonstrable after a periof of one year or even longer. The use of a uniform medical examination form was recommended to improve and compare documentation of the consequences of injuries to the anterior teeth.
