This study presents a comprehensive genetic characterization of the H9c2 cell line, a widely used model for cardiac myoblast research. We established a short tandem repeat (STR) profile for H9c2 that is useful to confirm the identity and stability of the cell line. Endometrial stromal sarcoma (ESS) is a mesenchymal tumor known for infiltrative growth and lymphovascular invasion. Most examples arise in the endometrium, but some occur in the abdominal cavity without a primary uterine lesion, likely originating from endometriosis. Leiomyosarcoma of the small intestine is a rare malignancy. Despite advancements in diagnostic imaging, leiomyosarcoma remains challenging to diagnose preoperatively due to its nonspecific presentation. INTRODUCTION: Kaposi sarcoma is a vascular tumour associated with human herpesvirus-8 (HHV-8) infection. Due to immunosuppressive treatment, solid organ transplant recipients infected with HHV-8 have increased risk of Kaposi sarcoma. The risk of being infected with HHV-8 is associated with higher age, male sex, non-White ethnicity, being a man who has sex with men (MSM) and use of recreational drugs. BACKGROUND: Follicular dendritic cell sarcoma (FDCS) is a rare mesenchymal malignant tumor derived from follicular dendritic cells. FDCS arises mainly from lymph nodes and rarely are extranodal. Diagnostic dilemma occurs due to the same micromorphology as other sarcomas and lymphomas. Curative radical resection is the standard therapy, and adjuvant treatment is not defined.
