Association between household income and postpartum depression among pregnant women with adequate or inadequate family support: a prospective cohort study.

Household income (HI) or family support may have a buffering effect on postpartum depression (PPD) during pregnancy. However, no study has clarified the impact of family support on the association between HI and PPD. This study aimed to analyze the association between HI and PPD and evaluate the effect of family support on this association. Community-dwelling pregnant women recruited between July 2019 and July 2022 were included in this study. Data on HI and other factors were obtained using self-administered questionnaires. PPD was assessed using the Japanese version of the Edinburgh Postnata

Barriers to Adherence to Remote Pelvic Floor Muscle Training Among Postpartum Women: A Qualitative Study Guided by the COM-B Model.

BACKGROUND: Pelvic floor muscle training (PFMT) is recognized as the first-line conservative intervention for postpartum pelvic floor rehabilitation. Remote pelvic floor muscle training, defined as a training modality conducted at home via mobile applications, online platforms, teleconsultation, or application-based reminders, without real-time on-site supervision, has expanded the accessibility of rehabilitation services; however, patient adherence remains suboptimal. Elucidating the barriers to adherence is critical for developing effective and well-accepted intervention strategies. This stu

This paper explores experiential factors influencing FCHVs' motivations, including how motivation intersects with women's livelihoods and consider what this means for achieving PHC in Nepal and globally. The foremost and greatest barrier to end-stage heart failure treatment: the impact of caregiver shortage.

We examined the number of patients abandoning cardiac replacement therapy due to the inability to secure a designated caregiver. At Osaka University Hospital Heart Center, when we receive a consultation for a patient with severe heart failure from another hospital, a heart failure team makes a visit to the referring hospital as soon as possible. We retrospectively analyzed this hospital-visit database. We received 199 severe heart failure consultations from 2016-2023. Issues identified during hospital visits included age ≥ 65 years (8%), inability to confirm the patient's intention (8.5%), and
