Introducing Sharing Information to Stop Mass Shootings (SISMS): A Short Report on a Behavioral and Event-Level Dataset for the Study of Mass Public Shootings.

This paper is in response to the manuscript entitled, "Success, failure and emotions: Examining the relationship between performance feedback and emotions in diagnostic reasoning," (Jarrell, Harley, Lajoie, & Naismith, Educational Technology & Research Development, 65, 1263-1284: 2017) from a K-12 teacher and administrator educational perspective. Jarrell et al.'s (Educational Technology & Research Development, 65, 1263-1284: 2017) findings indicate a strong relationship between outcome emotions and performance tasks: highest performing medical students had the most positive emotions. Craftivist zine-making with foundation doctors as medical humanities inquiry.

This is a craftivist (ie, craft-activist) methodological inquiry which uses zine-making to explore the experiences of a small group of National Health Service (NHS) foundation doctors in the south-west of England. Foundation doctors undertake a 2-year training programme, comprising rotating medical and surgical internships and advanced training, before receiving their full medical licence from the General Medical Council. Drawing on arts-based research (ABR) methodologies, the ethics of action research and a feminist new materialist ethico-onto-epistemology, this project is a collaborative inq

HRM issues and practices in internal stakeholder management for healthcare: a bibliometric and systematic literature analysis.

Effective human resource management (HRM) is a dominant topic of interest owing to its crucial role in both health production and service provision. Despite the recognition of the fundamental Strategic HRM (SHRM) practices, the intellectual structure and direction of research is yet to be fully developed, integrated and practically evolved in response to contemporary developments. Therefore, this study analyses the knowledge structure and evolution of HRM issues and practices in internal stakeholder management (ISM) within healthcare. In this study, we conduct a bibliometric analysis of 477 ar

Do physical activity and sedentary behaviour have an effect on burnout risk in Flemish secondary school teachers? A prospective study.

BACKGROUND: Burnout in secondary school teachers is an increasing concern. More physical activity (PA) and less sedentary behaviour (SB) may be beneficial to reduce burnout risk in this population. However, no longitudinal evidence on the role of PA-intensities across PA-domains and the role of SB-domains exists. Furthermore, the teaching population, characterized by high PA levels, needs to be studied, as literature showed that leisure PA was less effective to reduce burnout risk in employees with physically demanding jobs. Therefore, this study aimed to examine the causal effects of differen

Meaning, Purpose, and Spirituality and Clinician Well-Being.

BACKGROUND: Rates of burnout and job dissatisfaction remain high among clinicians. While health care organizational changes are needed to promote their well-being, individual factors must also be supported. A key factor for health behavior change and well-being includes meaning, purpose and spirituality (MPS), among other lifestyle factors. Yet, clinician well-being programs are often lacking explicit support for MPS. OBJECTIVE AND APPROACH: To develop a synthesis of the evidence behind MPS in clinician well-being and report on the discussions of experts from a national summit on MPS on integ

The couple Energy & Engagement Model: a new operational theory for relationship burn-out.

Classical theories in couple psychology, such as the Vulnerability-Stress-Adaptation (VSA) model and the Systemic-Transactional Model of Dyadic Coping (STM), have substantially advanced understanding of relational dynamics by highlighting the roles of individual vulnerabilities, external stressors, and adaptive processes, particularly communication and dyadic coping. In parallel, the Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) model, originally developed in occupational psychology, demonstrates that the balance between demands and resources determines exhaustion and engagement. Although this logic has been e

Creativity as a core competency in medical education: the art of medicine.

As medical education increasingly prioritises standardisation and algorithmic decision-making, the qualities that define the 'art' of medicine-improvisation, narrative attunement and observational depth-are often marginalised as non-essential 'soft skills'. This paper challenges that marginalisation by arguing that creativity is not merely an artistic flourish, but a pragmatic, core clinical competency essential for navigating the complex, indeterminate realities of modern patient care.Drawing on the educational theory of Donald Schön and the historical context of the Oslerian tradition, this

Four-Year Outcomes of Anterior Pressed Lithium Disilicate Veneers Fabricated from 3D-Printed Burn-Out Patterns: A Clinical Case Report.

Background/Objectives: Lithium disilicate (LD) veneers are widely used for minimally invasive anterior rehabilitation because of their favorable optical and mechanical properties. Fully digital workflows have been proposed as alternatives to conventional milling. These approaches combine computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) with 3D-printed burn-out patterns and subsequent heat pressing of LD ingots. However, clinical documentation of multi-unit anterior cases fabricated exclusively through this additive-plus-pressing route remains scarce. This case report aims to describe a fully

Molybdenum/Niobium Disilicide Multilayers Fabricated by Tape Casting: Microstructure, Mechanical Properties and Oxidation Behaviour.

MoSi2-based intermetallics are interesting materials for high-temperature applications, due to their moderate density, high melting point and significant oxidation resistance. In this paper, MoSi2-based materials in the form of multi-layered structures were fabricated by tape casting and pressureless sintering. Composites containing up to 20 wt.% of NbSi2 were produced, with the aim of obtaining biphasic structures with low pest oxidation at low temperature. The prepared samples were characterised with regard to phase composition, microstructure, mechanical properties and oxidation resistance.

[Are you Alright? - Well-being, Stress and Surgical Training].

BACKGROUND: We all want to be well - in our private life, as well as at work. Current surveys however point towards an increasing Burn-out rate amongst young surgeons. The results suggest, that a relevant number of young colleagues suffer from critically low well-being. Within this article, we want to explore the current status of well-being and stress during surgical training. MATERIALS AND METHODS: An online survey was performed amongst the members of the "Berufsverband der Deutschen Chirurgie" who were still in residency training, that entailed various training related questions, as well a

Pore-structure responses of polyethylene microplastic-amended Malan loess under different thermal regimes.

Under the context of global climate change, increasingly frequent heatwaves and wildfires subject near-surface soils to substantial thermal disturbance. Microplastics, as emerging persistent pollutants, are ubiquitous in agricultural and urban soils as well as aeolian deposits; their melting, pyrolysis, and carbonization at elevated temperatures can markedly alter soil pore structure and connectivity. In this study, Quaternary Malan loess from Shaanxi Province, China, was used as the test material. A series of experiments was conducted by varying polyethylene microplastic contents (1%, 3%, 4%,

Decoupling Geometry and Surface Chemistry in 3D-Printed ALD-Functionalized Porous Ceramic Channels.

Capillary-driven transport is traditionally attributed to the static pore geometry and wettability. However, the time-dependent surface energy of metal oxides, amplified by the high surface area of porous media, remains a key yet underexplored aspect. This study introduces a novel manufacturing route capable of decoupling macroscopic geometry from surface chemistry by integrating additive manufacturing combined with colloidal assembly (AMCA) and functionalization by atomic layer deposition (ALD). This approach enables the fabrication of highly porous aluminum-(III) oxide (Al2O3) and titanium d
