Olympic combat sports and mental health in children and adolescents with disability: a systematic review of controlled trials.

INTRODUCTION: Children and adolescents with disabilities face increased mental health challenges and lack of access to exercise. Olympic combat sports (OCS) such as judo, taekwondo, and others might encourage social engagement, self-control, and resilience. However, not much is known about their mental health impact on this population. METHODS: Following PRISMA-P protocols (PROSPERO registration: CRD42023452489), we searched seven databases for randomized controlled trials or non-randomized trials that evaluated the impact of OCS on mental health in children and adolescents (5-18 years) with

Characterizing Behaviors That Influence the Implementation of Digital-Based Interventions in Health Care: Systematic Review.

BACKGROUND: Successful implementation of any digital intervention in a health care setting requires adoption by all stakeholders. Appropriate consideration of behavioral change is a key driver that is often overlooked during implementation. The nonadoption, abandonment, scale-up, spread, and systems (NASSS) behavioral framework offers a broad evaluation of success for digital health solutions, and the theoretical domains framework (TDF) focuses particularly on adopters, identifying determinants of behavior and potential reasons for implementation issues. OBJECTIVE: The aim of this study was t

Exploring multidimensional determinants of medication error reporting in China: a qualitative study using the theoretical domains framework.

OBJECTIVE: Medication errors, defined as preventable events leading to inappropriate medication use or patient harm, remain a critical global healthcare challenge. Despite regulatory mandates in China, underreporting remains systemic. Existing research on healthcare professionals' reporting behaviors has been constrained by reliance on isolated theoretical frameworks, which inadequately address the interplay of individual, organizational, and cultural determinants. The aim of this study is to systematically explore barriers and facilitators affecting medication error reporting among Chinese he

The Speech-Language Pathologist's Role in Supporting Autistic Students in Postsecondary Education Settings.

PURPOSE: Navigating the postsecondary landscape is a complex and daunting journey for many autistic students due to widespread misconceptions about autism among nonautistic peers and educators. Additionally, barriers to self-advocacy limit students' academic and social integration, ultimately compromising their ability to graduate. Despite these challenges, there remains inadequate support for this population with social communication, executive functioning, and self-advocacy. Speech-language pathologists (SLPs) are well positioned to reduce existing barriers and provide support to autistic st
