PURPOSE: Adolescents with postural tachycardia syndrome (POTS) often experience ill-defined cognitive impairment referred to by patients as "brain fog." The objective of this study was to evaluate the symptom of brain fog as a means of gaining further insight into its etiology and potential palliative interventions.
METHODS: Eligible subjects who reported having been diagnosed with POTS were recruited from social media web sites. Subjects were asked to complete a 38-item questionnaire designed for this study, and the Wood mental fatigue inventory (WMFI).

Neuroendocrine tumors (NETs) describe a heterogeneous group of tumors with a wide range of morphologic, functional, and behavioral characteristics. These tumors are generally slow growing and behave in an indolent fashion. Treatment of keloid disease (KD) is ill-defined and remains challenging. We previously reported successful clinical application of photodynamic therapy (PDT) in KD. The aim here was to evaluate cytotoxic effect of PDT using methyl aminolevulinate (M-ALA) and 5-aminolevulinic acid (5-ALA) on keloid fibroblasts (KF) (n = 8) from different lesional sites (top, middle and margin) as compared to normal skin fibroblasts (n = 3). We report 9 cases of primary angiosarcomas of the anterior mediastinum. Patient ages ranged from 25 to 62 years (mean, 40.7 years); 5 patients were male and 4 were female. Idiopathic cervical fibrosis is a rare tumefactive inflammatory-sclerosing lesion involving the soft tissues of the head and neck, and a proportion of patients also have synchronous or metachronous inflammatory fibrosclerosing lesions in other anatomic sites. The majority of cell adhesion molecules are N-glycosylated, but the role of N-glycans in intercellular adhesion in epithelia remains ill-defined.
