Recent information is limited regarding pathological features of the malignant lymphomas of Africa, other than Burkitt's lymphoma. Central nervous system (CNS) involvement occurred in 289 of 1332 patients (22%) with posttransplant non-Hodgkins lymphomas. The average time of appearance was 33 months (range 3 weeks to 248.5 months) posttransplantation. Records of 2,145 cases of Hodgkin's disease in England and Wales treated by the British National Lymphoma Investigation during 1970-84 were sought in the national and regional cancer registers. Small bowel obstruction (SBO) as a late complication of the treatment of Hodgkin's disease was found in 32 of 398 (8%) patients followed over a 20 year period. The vast majority of these patients had an initial staging laparotomy as part of staging protocols. Fine-needle aspirates from 12 cases of malignant non-Hodgkin's lymphoma of the oral cavity were cytologically classified according to the Kiel classification.
