Near-infrared (NIR) pre-irradiation before irreversible electroporation (IRE), or NIRE, augments apoptosis in rat stomach, but its transcriptional correlates are unknown. Gastrointestinal (GI) leiomyomas are rare benign smooth muscle tumors, most commonly arising in the esophagus and stomach. Their occurrence in the colon is uncommon, and synchronous involvement of multiple colonic sites is exceedingly rare.
