There are no published data on the occurrence of neoplasia in wild great apes of any species. The aim of this study was to utilize postmortem and histopathology reports collected from wild human-habituated mountain gorillas (Gorilla beringei beringei) and Grauer's gorillas (Gorilla beringei graueri) to determine both the incidence and types of spontaneous neoplasms and proliferative lesions that occur in these species. Pathology records of 194 mountain gorillas and 12 Grauer's gorillas necropsied from 1985 to 2020 were examined for all cases of neoplasia or hyperplastic/proliferative disease.

Primary malignant melanoma of the genitourinary tract is extremely rare. We present two such cases in elderly Caucasian females. IMPORTANCE: The incidence of melanoma in situ (MIS) has increased significantly over the past decades, and traditional guidelines for treatment of MIS have been excision with a 5-mm clinical margin; however, current Australian and other guidelines now recommend 5- to 10-mm margins. INTRODUCTION: Non-melanoma skin cancer (NMSC) is a cause of significant morbidity and mortality in high-risk individuals. Total body photography (TBP) is currently used to monitor melanocytic lesions in patients with high risk for melanoma. The authors examined if three-dimensional (3D)-TBP could be useful for diagnosis of NMSC.

In Romania, the incidence of malignant melanocytic tumors is continuously increasing. According to the World Health Organization, the incidence of melanocytic and non-melanocytic skin neoplasms has increased considerably and globally, in the last decade.
