The cytostatic TS-160 (trichloromethine hydrochloride, tris-/2-chloroethyl/amine hydrochloride) was injected subcutaneously into SPF Wistar rats of both sexes. In 20 out of 94 cases of selected patients suffering from various thyroid diseases antibodies against thyroxine and trijodthyronine were detected. Records of 133 infections occurring in 73 of 125 patients with late-stage non-Hodgkin's lymphoma on intensive chemotherapy programs for a median of 23 months were reviewed. The histological course and the outcome of reactions was followed in 12 patients who were all in the borderline (BT-BL) zone of the spectrum at some time during the reaction. Clinical-pathologic-genetic studies were performed on 3 kindreds showing the familial atypical multiple mole-melanoma syndrome (FAMMM).
