When tumor involvement of the frontal sinus occurs, it is usually the result of the direct spread of the mass from the nasal cavity or anterior ethmoid sinuses. Verrucous carcinoma is a low-grade variant of squamous cell carcinoma reported to occur in all anatomic sites in the head and neck region, most commonly the oral cavity. The tumor grows locally invasive but is histologically benign and metastasizes rarely. To date, 22 cases of verrucous carcinoma involving the nasal cavity and/or the paranasal sinuses have been reported. We present a case of verrucous carcinoma involving the paranasal sinuses, nasal cavity, cranium, and orbit. This case highlights the difficulty of pathologic diagnosis and management options for a rare neoplastic lesion.

INTRODUCTION: Extra-nodal T lymphomas of the ear, nose, and throat (ENT) are unusual in Western countries, with differential diagnosis from other destructive and necrotizing lesions of the sino-nasal tract often difficult.
MATERIAL AND METHODS: Eleven cases of extra-nodal lymphomas of the upper aerodigestive tract tract managed in the ENT department of F. Hached hospital in Sousse, Tunisia, were retrieved over a 10-year period (1995-2004). The aim of our study was to report the clinical and pathological data and the outcome for each patient.

Angiosarcomas of the nose and paranasal sinuses are extremely rare. Histologically angiosarcomas are divided into two groups: low and high-grade. We present a case of angiosarcoma of apparent low-grade malignancy localized within the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses in a 74-year old woman treated by radiotherapy due to middle ear chemodectoma 21 years ago. She was surgically treated via the lateral rhinotomy. During the 23 months follow-up no recurrence or epistaxis have been observed.

Leiomyomas are benign smooth-muscle tumors that are common in the alimentary tract, uterus, skin, and subcutaneous tissue. They are very uncommon in the upper respiratory tract and rare in the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses. To the best of our knowledge, only 23 such cases have heretofore been published in the literature. We report 2 new cases of sinonasal leiomyoma that originated at different sites in the nasal cavity. We also discuss the various investigative and therapeutic modalities available.
