A 44-year-old man with Sturge-Weber syndrome developed a basal cell carcinoma at the site of a nevus flammeus on his right cheek, which had been treated with a course of grenz rays at six years of age without obvious improvement. He also exhibited erythematous papulovesicular lesions on the upper trunk, which histologically proved to be transient acantholytic dermatosis. The association of nevus flammeus and basal cell carcinoma is extremely rare; to the best of our knowledge, only four similar cases have been previously reported.

From 1970-1982, 70 newborns with different kinds of tumors were studied at "La Paz" Children's Hospital in Madrid. Our review was directed to study sex, site, kind and malignity. This type of neonatal work is uncommon in pediatric literature. We make special emphasis in the follow-up of malignant. tumors. 63% of these tumors were benign ant the remaining were malignant. The overall mortality was 28%.

Ultrasound examination is now performed on about 30% of all pregnancies. Although it is used primarily to estimate gestational age, viability, presentation, and placental site, detailed fetal anatomy is also disclosed. Many abnormalities are now detected prenatally which may not be clinically apparent at birth, and raise new dilemmas of patient management. We describe a large mass documented by ultrasound in the right lobe of liver in a 29-week-old fetus. Subsequent postnatal investigation confirmed the initial ultrasound findings and documented spontaneous regression.

A case of alveolar soft part sarcoma arising some 20 years later in a site previously irradiated as a treatment for a spinal cord hemangioma is described. This is the first known case of radiation-associated alveolar soft part sarcoma, and it fulfills the criteria for a tumor to be radiation-induced. The coincidental finding of "viral-like" particles within some of the tumor cells was noted.

A case of Masson intravascular hemangioendothelioma hitherto undescribed in the female urethra is reported. The condition has bizarre histopathologic appearances which sometimes pose a problem in differentiating it from angiosarcoma. Recognition of the condition, particularly in a female urethra which is not an infrequent site of vascular lesions such as caruncles and varices, is therefore emphasized to avoid unnecessary drastic treatment.

Report on a 66-year-old patient with a hemangiosarcoma of the scalp which is known to be the preferred site of this type of tumor. Seventy one patients with renal tumors treated at our clinic during the 11 years from 1970 to 1980 were clinically examined. The results are summarized as follows. The frequency of patients with renal tumors was 0.22% of the outpatients and 1.72% of the inpatients. Of the 71 renal tumors, 41 were renal adenocarcinoma, and 26 were renal pelvic tumors of which 23 were transitional cell tumors, 2 were squamous cell tumors, and 1 was adenocarcinoma.
