INTRODUCTION: Abdominal ectopic pregnancies(APs) is a rare type of ectopic pregnancy, most commonly implanting in the rectouterine pouch. The treatment methods include surgical treatment and drug therapy. In the surgical treatment of ectopic pregnancy, local injection of methotrexate(MTX)at the site of pregnancy can reduce the occurrence of persistent ectopic pregnancy(PEP). RATIONALE: Ectopic pregnancy is a common acute abdominal disease of gynecology. Ectopic pregnancy refers to a pregnancy in which the fertilized egg is implanted outside the uterine cavity. Abdominal pregnancy is a type of ectopic pregnancy, which refers to the embryo or fetus being located in the abdominal cavity outside the fallopian tubes, ovaries, and broad ligaments. Incidental gynaecologic malignancies are detected in up to 1.3% of pelvic organ prolapse (POP) surgeries. Endometriosis is characterized by the ectopic implantation of a functional uterine lining outside of the uterus. Commonly, it occurs in the fallopian tubes, ovaries, uterosacral ligaments, and gastrointestinal tract. Less commonly, it may occur in the pericardium, pleura, and central nervous system. Thoracic endometriosis syndrome includes multiple presentations, most commonly catamenial pneumothorax.
