OBJECTIVE: To determine the diagnostic accuracy of cytology smears in distinguishing between tube and non-tube structures.
METHODS: One hundred cytology smears of fallopian tube and non-tube structures (vessels, round and ovarian ligaments) were prepared from surgically removed uterus and fallopian tube specimens and stained by the Papanicolaou method. The slides were reviewed blindly by pathologists and interpreted as tube or non-tube structures. The results were compared to the histological examination of the same specimens.

A 35-year-old woman presented with an adnexal mass which came out as a leiomyosarcoma of the broad ligament arising in a pre-existing pure neurilemmoma-like leiomyoma. This is the first reported case of leiomyosarcoma arising in a pure neurilemmoma-like leiomyoma, the third reported case at an unusually young age showing evidence of a pre-existing leiomyoma and the 12th reported case of leimyosarcoma of the broad ligament. Various classifications have been used for congenital anomalies of the Müllerian system. We report a case of a previously unknown anomaly of the uterus, and propose its possible embryological causes. The patient presented with primary amenorrhoea and infertility, and during laparoscopy three distinct uterine horns were observed. The tubes were connected to the two most lateral horns, each juxtaposed to a normal ovary. The middle horn had a seemingly normal attachment to the right uterosacral ligament, whereas its attachment to the left uterosacral ligament appeared attenuated and less normal.

In this report, we present a case of unilateral müllerian and ovarian agenesis associated with pelvic kidney. The patient was a 27-year-old woman who complained of an inability to conceive. We performed a hysterosalpingogram, hysteroscopy, laparoscopy, and an excretory urogram (IVP). At laparoscopy, we found an unicornuate uterus without a rudimentary horn. BACKGROUND: Broad ligament pregnancy is an uncommon form of ectopic pregnancy.
CASE: A 34-year-old, 11-week-pregnant woman, gravida 2, para 0, presented with left lower abdominal pain. She had undergone a right salpingectomy due to tubal pregnancy six years previously. She had a left broad ligament twin pregnancy, and excision of the pregnancy and left tube were performed. She was well at discharge and the six-week follow-up.
CONCLUSION: This is the first case report of a broad ligament twin pregnancy after spontaneous conception.

A 48 year old African American woman presented with bladder pressure leading to the diagnosis of broad ligament and multiple uterine leiomyomas. She was also found to have a lateral vaginal wall mass which was confirmed to be a leiomyoma. Unlike uterine leiomyomas, vaginal leiomyomas are uncommon and are most often found in Caucasian women. Cases of such coexisting tumors are rare and their etiologic relationship is uncertain.

BACKGROUND: Supernumerary and accessory ovaries are rare anomalies. The reported incidence of these conditions is 1:29,000-700,000 gynecologic admissions.
