Varietal thiols constitute key aroma compounds in wine and occur in grape berries as odorless precursors. This study aimed to characterize thiol precursor diversity in 32 red grape varieties (Vitis vinifera and hybrids) by examining their distribution across berry compartments and assessing the effects of grape variety, vintage, and skin cell wall composition. Background: Allergy testing is typically performed as a skin prick test. This test can cause pain and anxiety in children. Objective: The goal of this project was to improve the patient experience during allergy testing. Methods: This quality improvement project employed a pretest-posttest design to assess pediatric anxiety levels before and after exposure to virtual reality (VR).
