INTRODUCTION: The B cell receptor (BCR) repertoire is generated through stochastic V(D)J recombination and further shaped by selection processes. Still, the influence of genetic background on the naïve repertoire remains unclear. In this study, we investigated inter-individual and inter-strain variations in the IgM BCR repertoire using naïve mice from three strains: BALB/c, C57BL/6N, and NC/Nga.
METHODS: Splenic IgM-expressing B cells were isolated at the single-cell level, and paired IGHV and IGKV sequences were analyzed.

Hepatosplenic T-cell lymphoma (HSTCL) is an ultra-rare, aggressive T-cell neoplasm for which evidence regarding prognosis and optimal therapy remains limited. Marginal zone lymphomas (MZLs) encompass extranodal, splenic, and nodal subtypes that are thought to clonally arise from antigen-exposed B-cells. Here, we present the case of a patient with a concurrent diagnosis of extranodal marginal zone lymphoma (EMZL) of the ocular adnexa and splenic marginal zone lymphoma (SMZL). These were identified on a core biopsy of the ocular adnexa and a bone marrow biopsy, respectively. While sequential occurrences of MZLs have been previously documented, this represents a concurrent diagnosis of two distinct MZLs.

Heterotaxy (HTX) is a rare condition characterized by complex congenital heart defects and a wide spectrum of extracardiac abnormalities that significantly impact survival. While molecular diagnosis is essential for clinical management, next-generation sequencing (NGS) currently identifies disease-causing variants in only 20%-30% of HTX cases. We report a case of prenatally diagnosed asplenia syndrome complicated by an infracardiac type total anomalous pulmonary venous connection. Stenting the ductus venosus through the umbilical vein was unsuccessful owing to the persistence of the right umbilical vein. Umbilical veins can develop various anomalies. When the fetus is planned for catheter intervention immediately after birth, the umbilical vein structure should be evaluated at the prenatal stage.
