BACKGROUND: A multidisciplinary approach is viewed as the primary treatment strategy for fibromyalgia (FM). Therapeutic exercise is an important component of this approach. Hypnotic cognitive therapy (HYP-CT), a relatively new intervention strategy, has not traditionally been incorporated in FM treatment, although it has shown beneficial effects in other chronic pain conditions. Opioid overdose deaths have devastated communities across the USA for over two decades. This study explores how Christian clergy in North Carolina perceive and respond to substance use issues, including opioid misuse. METHODS: TriNetX was queried for adults with burn injury between 30 August 2005 and 1 January 2023. Amputees and non-amputees were 1:1 propensity-score matched on demographics, comorbidities, substance use, psychiatric history, antidepressant use, and burn extent.
