[Subarachnoidal hemorrhage with cranial tomography without bleeding signals].

UNLABELLED: We observed 23 patients with clinical hypothesis of subarachnoidal hemorrhage (SAH) having cranial tomography (CT) without bleeding signals. The final diagnosis of SAH was made upon the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) results. Twenty cases were submitted to brain angiography. They were focused under the clinical classification of Hunt & Hess. The main results were 1) 1/3 of patients had interval time between 24 and 48 hours after ictus and before CT and CSF making; this was the most sensitive CT time; 2) 55% of patients with brain angiography had aneurysm predominantly in the carotid and

[Neuropsychological disorders in minor hemisphere damage].

Damage to the minor hemisphere or the right hemisphere of most right-handed subjects produces various neuropsychological disorders. Unilateral spatial neglect is the deficit to respond or orient to stimuli on the left side. The inferior parietal lobule is most frequently involved in the lesions of neglect patients, but lesions confined to the lobule may not cause chronic neglect. Severe and lasting neglect is frequently found in patients with an infarction in the territory of the middle cerebral artery or the anterior choroidal artery. Neglect is usually mild or moderate after frontal lesions.

[Visual agnosia induced by cerebrovascular disease].

Visual objects can be classified into some categories such as faces, landscapes, objects and letters. Visual agnosia specific to one of these categories can occur. This type of visual agnosia occurs at the occipitotemporal lobe lesion where the visual cognitive center exists, and is often induced by vascular disease of the posterior cerebral artery. In this study we categorized the symptoms of visual agnosia and presented the natures of these symptoms of patients, and then investigated the lesions responsible for the symptoms. In addition, we clarified the current most important issue for each

[Cognitive sequelae following rupture of aneurysms of the anterior communicating artery and the anterior cerebral artery. Retrospective study of 56 cases].

The neuropsychological records of 56 patients operated for clipping were studied. Almost every patient remained autonomous and without invalidating motor defect. The present study was aimed at specifying the type and frequency of neuropsychological sequelae and, to a lesser extent, the role of various pathophysiological factors. A main concern was to examine to what extent and at what post-operative interval the neuropsychological assessment can predict the intellectual and socioprofessional outcome of each individual patient. The neuropsychological assessment performed beyond the acute phase

Infected cerebral hemorrhage by ruptured infectious anterior communicating artery giant aneurysm in a patient with T cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Case report.

Although the majority of infectious (bacterial) intracranial aneurysms occur in patients with subacute bacterial endocarditis, septic cerebral embolization and infectious intracranial aneurysm formation can also occur in immunocompromised patients. We report the case of ruptured bacterial aneurysm occurring in a 19 years old man immunocompromised by vigorously treated acute lymphoblastic leukemia. This case confirms very poor prognosis for infectious aneurysms in immunocompromised patient reported in literature, suggesting that a high index of suspicion needs for early diagnosis and that a con
