Risk factors are immunocompromised states as well as spinal procedures including epidural anesthesia and spinal surgery. Bronchial artery embolization was attempted several times in a 74-year-old man undergoing right pneumonectomy for persistent hemoptysis. Paraplegia developed after surgery.
