PURPOSE: Whitish spots are sometimes observed in the corneal endothelium after selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT). To evaluate the corneal endothelium after SLT, corneal specular microscopy was performed.
METHODS: A total of 142 eyes with open angle glaucoma that underwent SLT during the period of 9 months from February 10 to November 10, 2012, had their corneal endothelium examined with specular microscopy before and after SLT.

Chlorpromazine is known to cause abnormal oculocutaneous pigmentation in sun-exposed areas. We present the case of a psychiatric patient who developed blue-gray pigmentation of the skin as well as corneal and lens opacities following 7 years of chlorpromazine treatment. Ten months after discontinuation of chlorpromazine, the skin discoloration and anterior lens deposits showed partial improvement, but the corneal deposits remained unchanged. A review of the literature on the reversibility of chlorpromazine-induced abnormal oculocutaneous pigmentation also is provided.

CASE DESCRIPTION: A 9-year-old castrated male Bichon Frise was evaluated because of a 3-week history of a nonhealing corneal ulcer and corneal pigmentation of the left eye.
CLINICAL FINDINGS: Ophthalmic examination of the left eye revealed conjunctival hyperemia, corneal neovascularization, corneal edema, corneal ulceration, and central corneal pigmentation. Intraocular structures of the left eye could not be visually examined because of the diffuse nature of the corneal lesions.
