Case Report :Serous Retinal Detachment Following Bleb Needling.

Transconjunctival bleb needling is a relatively simple and effective procedure used to restore aqueous humor outflow in failing trabeculectomy blebs. Although generally considered safe, several complications have been reported, including bleb leakage, hypotony, and choroidal effusion. We report a case of non-rhegmatogenous serous retinal detachment following transconjunctival bleb needling in a 56-year-old man with diabetes, Fuchs heterochromic iridocyclitis, and secondary glaucoma who underwent the procedure for an encapsulated bleb after Trabeculectomy. The patient developed persistent serou

Steroid-Induced Central Serous Chorioretinopathy in Uveitis: Diagnostic Challenges and Multimodal Imaging with a Primary Inflammatory Choriocapillaropathy Illustrative Case.

Background and Clinical Significance. Steroid-induced central serous chorioretinopathy (CSCR) is a potential complication in patients with uveitis receiving corticosteroid therapy and may be misinterpreted as persistent inflammatory activity. Inflammatory and iatrogenic subretinal fluid may coexist, particularly in primary inflammatory choriocapillaropathies (PICCPs), creating diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. This narrative review discusses the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying steroid-induced CSCR and emphasizes the value of multimodal imaging in distinguishing inflammatory subre

cGAS‑STING pathway in digestive tract cancer: From molecular mechanisms to therapeutic applications (Review).

BACKGROUND: Idiopathic lymphoplasmacytic rhinitis (LPR) is a common inflammatory disorder of the nasal cavity in dogs due to unknown etiology. It is characterised by non-specific clinical signs, including nasal discharge, epistaxis and breathing problems. Diagnosis is usually based on the histopathologic identification of infiltrating plasmocytes and lymphocytes in the nasal mucosa and the exclusion of other underlying diseases. Treatment strategies include glucocorticoids, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, antibiotics and antifungal medications. The aim of this study was to evaluate the

Acute retinal necrosis presenting exudative retinal detachment: a case report.

BACKGROUND: Acute retinal necrosis (ARN) is a severe, rapidly progressive viral retinitis that is commonly complicated by rhegmatogenous retinal detachment in its late stage. However, the presentation of ARN with exudative retinal detachment (ERD) in the early phase is exceptionally rare, particularly when caused by varicella zoster virus (VZV) in an adult patient. This report highlights this atypical presentation, which initially occurred without definite evidence of retinal necrosis, posing a diagnostic challenge. CASE PRESENTATION: A 43-year-old woman presented with acute blurred vision, e
