Bilateral Keratouveitis and Secondary Glaucoma in a Young Dog With Immune-Mediated Polyarthritis and Systemic Inflammatory Response Syndrome.

A 7-month-old intact female mixed-breed dog presented emergently for inability to walk, lethargy, and vomiting. The patient was diagnosed with immune-mediated polyarthritis (IMPA) and secondary systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS). Bilateral keratouveitis and secondary glaucoma developed within 24 h of presentation. Thorough diagnostic testing failed to identify an underlying etiology. Despite aggressive medical management, the patient developed rapid vision loss. Due to poor visual prognosis and anticipated need for long-term medical management, both eyes were enucleated. Intraocular infection of Moraxella nonliquefaciens accompanied by secondary angle-closure glaucoma: A case report.

Infectious endophthalmitis after ocular surgery is a rare complication that can result in severe vision loss. Moraxella nonliquefaciens is an opportunistic pathogen that rarely causes ocular infections. We report a rare case of Moraxella nonliquefaciens endophthalmitis complicated by secondary angle-closure glaucoma occurring years after trabeculectomy and cataract surgery. Cycloplegia resulted in deepening of the anterior chamber and opening of the angles. Metagenomic next-generation sequencing of the aqueous humor identified Moraxella nonliquefaciens. Following multiple intravitreal vancomyc

A Rare Case of Secondary Angle Closure Glaucoma Due to Soemmering's Ring in a Pseudophakic Eye: The Role of Ultrasound Biomicroscopy.

Secondary angle closure glaucoma in pseudophakic eyes is uncommon. Soemmering's ring, a circumferential proliferation of retained lens material, can, under certain conditions, lead to significant anterior segment distortion and angle closure. Pseudoexfoliation syndrome (PEX) can contribute, through zonular instability and chronic subclinical inflammation, to the anterior displacement of the capsular bag and iris-lens diaphragm. A 70-year-old male with a history of bilateral phacoemulsification presented with progressive visual decline and mild ocular discomfort in the left eye. Inflammatory Keratitis and IOP Spike After Repeat SLT in Pseudoexfoliation Glaucoma: Case Report and Literature Review.

INTRODUCTION: Selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) is widely used to lower intraocular pressure (IOP) in glaucoma, including pseudoexfoliation glaucoma (PXG). While transient IOP elevations and mild inflammation are common, delayed keratitis with a secondary IOP spike remains rare. We present a case of inflammatory keratitis and delayed IOP elevation following repeat SLT in a patient with PXG and no prior history of herpes simplex virus (HSV) infection. CASE PRESENTATION: A 59-year-old man with PXG underwent repeat SLT in the left eye. He had a normal IOP reading 1 hour after the procedure.
