The results of combined examinations of 26 patients with arteriovenous aneurysms in the brain are presented. The patients constituted two groups in one of which the aneurysm took a "neoplastic", and in the other a "vascular" course. The morphological and clinical forms of the aneurysm course that depended on the localization and size of the anomaly are described in detail. There were 582 subjects over 60 years of age at entry into the Australian Therapeutic Trial in Mild Hypertension (diastolic blood pressure (V) = 95 to 109 mmHg) in which subjects were randomly allocated to receive active pharmacological treatment or placebo tablets. Three percent of epileptic patients have their first seizure after the age of 60. More than at other ages, the real nature of such fits is very difficult to assert.
