INTRODUCTION: Sporotrichosis is an implantation mycosis caused by Sporothrix spp. It is distributed worldwide and can be found in vegetation and soil. The most frequent route of infection is by trauma with elements contaminated with fungal propagules. Since domestic cats are the most affected animals and can transmit this infection to humans, sporotrichosis is considered a zoonosis. Clinical presentations include nodular lymphangitis, fixed cutaneous, pulmonary (rare), and disseminated (exceptional).
OBJECTIVES: To analyze the epidemiology of sporotrichosis in Argentina during 2010 and 2022.

Hymenoptera venom (HV) is injected into the skin during a sting by Hymenoptera such as bees or wasps. Some components of HV are potential allergens and can cause large local and/or systemic allergic reactions (SAR) in sensitized individuals. Lymphogranuloma venereum is a sexually transmitted disease caused by L1, L2 and L3 serovars of Chlamydia trachomatis. A rare clinical presentation of the primary stage is lymphangitis of the penis, with the appearance of one or more tense lymph nodes classically called "buboes". We report the case of an HIV-positive patient with sexually transmitted disease risk behaviors with penile nodules as a manifestation of lymphogranuloma venereum.

The clinical association between Coxsackievirus B (CVB) and methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) has not been well established in the current literature. Here, we report a case of a 29-year-old male who presented with fever and malaise 24 hours after noticing a pruritic lesion on the anterior foreleg that resembled a mosquito bite. After multiple ED visits, laboratory studies, and imaging tests, the patient was admitted for treatment of high fevers and pancytopenia. The final diagnosis was viral sepsis complicated by co-infection with MSSA.

Pulmonary lymphangitis carcinomatosis is a complication of malignancy with a poor prognosis. We describe an unusual case in which it caused ventilatory failure and unfortunately death in a previously well male in his 70s. Abnormal chest imaging led to a wide differential diagnosis with Bronchoscopy confirming malignant cells. MRI of his pelvis and biopsy was done diagnosis of metastatic leiomyosarcoma, a particularly aggressive malignancy. A 61-year-old woman was admitted to our hospital with productive cough and fever. Computed tomography images revealed ground glass opacities in both lung fields, and a space-occupying lesion in the gallbladder.
