BACKGROUND: Salivary duct carcinoma (SDC) is an aggressive subtype of salivary gland cancer. Approximately half of SDC patients will develop recurrences or metastases. Therapeutic palliative therapy is therefore often needed. The majority of SDC tumors expresses the androgen receptor (AR) and one-third expresses human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2), both are potential therapeutic targets. The aim of this paper is to systematically review and summarize the evidence on systemic palliative therapy for SDC and to provide treatment recommendations.

PURPOSE: Radiochemotherapy (RCT) is an effective standard therapy for locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (LA-HNSCC). Nonetheless, toxicity is common, with patients often requiring dose modifications.
METHODS: To investigate associations of RCT toxicities according to CTCAE version 5.0 and subsequent therapy modifications with short- and long-term treatment outcomes, we studied all 193 patients with HNSCC who received RCT (70 Gy + platinum agent) at an academic center between 03/2010 and 04/2018.

OBJECTIVE: To identify the prevalence of xerostomia in women undergoing chemotherapy for breast cancer.
METHOD: Prospective cohort with 27 women who underwent up to 16 sessions of intravenous chemotherapy. Data collection was performed at the outpatient clinic of a university hospital in the city of São Paulo, where two forms were applied before the start of treatment and the Xerostomia Inventory before and after each chemotherapy session.

This study determined the association of cold-related symptoms with workplace temperature and thermal insulation of clothing among Thai chicken industry workers. Three hundred workers were interviewed regarding cold-related symptoms, which were regressed on worksite temperature and protective clothing. The rapid spread, unknown transmission routes, and zoonotic nature, raise serious concern about BYDV as a potential threat to human health.
