BACKGROUND: Neoadjuvant chemoimmunotherapy is being explored in locally advanced head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC), yet the spatial patterns of pathologic response and clinical implications remain poorly characterized.

BACKGROUND: Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) are widely used in tumor therapy, and the immune-related adverse events (irAEs) they induce can involve multiple organs. As an organ with both endocrine and exocrine functions, pancreatic involvement may manifest as acute pancreatitis, new-onset diabetes mellitus, or even a combination of both. Among these, ICI-induced acute pancreatitis concurrent with fulminant type 1 diabetes mellitus (FT1DM) is extremely rare but highly critical and easily missed in clinical practice.

PURPOSE: This study focused on the mechanism underlying the therapeutic effect of curcumin against tongue cancer (TC).
METHODS: Target genes of TC and curcumin were identified, respectively. Three datasets of TC from Gene Expression Omnibus were included, and then the differentially expressed genes were collected. After combing the data from The Cancer Genome Atlas, bioinformatics analyses were performed to investigate hub genes in terms of the functions and correlations.
