Peptic ulcer bleeding is a common condition where endoscopic therapy offers a safe and definitive treatment. However, management of peptic ulcer bleeding can be more complex when there is large volume, recurrent bleeding in a critically ill patient. We present a patient with life-threatening, recurrent duodenal ulcer bleeding who failed both standard endoscopic therapy and transarterial embolization. Hemostasis was achieved through a combination of standard endoscopic therapy and endoscopic suturing.

A 93-year-old patient underwent endoscopic treatment of perforated duodenal ulcer after previous laparoscopic suturing complicated by failure of sutured defect. A self-expanding nitinol stent with partial polyurethane coating was used. Positive effect of the treatment was noted. Further study of this method and its clinical introduction in case of favorable results can significantly reduce the incidence of complications and mortality in patients with perforated gastroduodenal ulcers.

BACKGROUND: This study evaluates the outcomes and toxicity of stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT) in ovarian cancer.
METHODS: This retrospective analysis considered all patients treated with SBRT from 2009 to 2018 with a primary ovarian tumor. Follow-up included PET-CT and CT scans at 2-3 month intervals.
