BACKGROUND: Upper gastrointestinal Crohn's disease (UGI-CD) is rare, with an adult prevalence of 0.5%-4.0%. Its nonspecific symptomatology and the absence of clear diagnostic guidelines pose significant diagnostic challenges.
CASE PRESENTATION: We present two patients with UGI-CD treated at Hainan General Hospital. In the first case, a 47-month diagnostic delay led to disease progression and surgical intervention. In the second case, prompt diagnosis of a duodenal ulcer enabled medical management, avoiding surgery. Both patients received infliximab and achieved remission.

Taenia infection is a globally distributed parasitic disease that is uncommon in developed countries. Taeniasis typically presents with mild or no symptoms, and anemia is not a usual feature. We report the case of a 50-year-old woman with a history of Roux-en-Y gastric bypass who presented with a history of abdominal pain, asthenia, and melena. SCIENTIFIC BACKGROUND: Meningiomas are the most common benign intracranial neoplasms with a slow growth presented as the intracranial lesion. These tumors are without any symptoms for a long time. At the time of diagnosis it is frequently an asymptomatic tumor. In that case the therapist may well suggest a wait-and-see strategy. The therapy of meningiomas focuses firstly on the microsurgical treatment. Volume reduction can be achieved immediately after treatment.
