Anorectal melanoma is a rare disorder. There have only been a few cases reported and there is no consensus of treatment. We report a case of 50-year-old Caucasian man presenting intermittent prolapse of an anorectal mass during 6 months with occasional bleeding. In the last decade, thanks to natural orifice translumenal endoscopic surgery, the application of laparoscopy through the anus has gained interest from both research and clinical point of views. Therefore, an increased number of transanal procedures have been reported, from the resection of a large rectal polyp to total mesorectal excision, and for controlling perioperative complications like leak, bleeding, and stenosis. Currently, the most popular surgical trend remains transanal total mesorectal excision. In this article, the technique, advantages, and disadvantages are discussed.

Granular cell tumor (GCT) is a rare neoplasm that develops in the gut's submucosal layer. We report the case of a male with a history of surgically excised colon neoplasm where a rectal polyp was identified during a follow-up endoscopy. The lesion, eventually identified as a GCT, was endoscopically removed by band ligation-assisted mucosectomy. This may be the second report of a colorectal GCT successfully managed using band ligation, and the first one on a rectal GCT excised with this technique.

One of the clinicopathological criteria for diagnosing Peutz-Jeghers syndrome (PJS) is mucocutaneous pigmentation. Peutz-Jeghers Syndrome (PJS) is an autosomal dominant intestinal polyposis syndrome characterised by the presence of hamartomatous polyps and mucocutaneous pigmentation. A 64-year-old woman underwent polypectomy for a rectal polyp(Isp). Pathological findings were invasion of the submucosa( 3,500 mm diameter), and she underwent anterior resection for rectal cancer(RS, pT1b, pN0, cM0, Stage I )without adjuvant chemotherapy.
