Syringomas commonly occur in women over the face, neck, and chest. They are usually asymptomatic and mainly of cosmetic concern. The vulva is an uncommon site for syringomas. This review investigates women suffering from chronic vulval pruritus who may suffer from lichen sclerosus (LS). LS is a chronic inflammatory skin condition involving the vulva and anogenital regions. Treatment may be initiated upon suspicion, although the diagnosis is predominantly clinical and at times a skin biopsy is needed to confirm the diagnosis.
