Mechanisms of traditional Chinese medicine compound Danxiong granules for the treatment of radiation dermatitis based on network pharmacology, molecular docking and experimental validation.

BACKGROUND: Radiation Dermatitis (RD) is the most common side effect of radiotherapy, severely affecting the implementation of the antitumor treatment plan. The traditional Chinese medicine(TCM) compound Danxiong Granules (TDX105) is an external formulation used clinically for over a decade with notable efficacy, though its pharmacological mechanisms remain unclear, This study delves into the intricate mechanism by which TDX105 confers protection against RD by modulating the inflammation-related pathway, employing a combination of network pharmacology and experimental validation. METHODS: The

Do skin bacteriostatic agents reduce acute radiodermatitis in breast cancer patients? A prospective interventional study.

OBJECTIVE: Radiodermatitis is the most prevalent complication in breast cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy. Emerging evidence suggests a correlation between radiodermatitis and Staphylococcus aureus colonization. The aim of our study was to explore whether the application of skin bacteriostatic agents (a sterile liquid dressing containing fucoidan oligosaccharides with anti-Staphylococcus aureus activity) could mitigate acute radiodermatitis in breast cancer patients. METHODS: We conducted a prospective interventional study, enrolling breast cancer patients receiving outpatient radiother

Solitary Bone Plasmacytoma of the Scapula: A Rare Localization With Remarkable Radiotherapy Outcome.

Solitary bone plasmacytoma (SBP) is a rare plasma cell neoplasm characterized by localized proliferation of monoclonal plasma cells in bone without systemic involvement, which distinguishes it from multiple myeloma. Although the axial skeleton is most frequently affected, involvement of the shoulder girdle is exceptionally uncommon. We present the case of a 48-year-old woman who experienced progressive left shoulder pain and noted an enlarging mass over six months. Imaging revealed a large osteolytic lesion in the scapula with extension into surrounding soft tissue. Histopathology and immunohi
