Granuloma faciale is a rare dermatopathologic condition that presents as brown-red plaques, nodules, or papules primarily on the face, with the potential for extrafacial and mucous membrane involvement. A case of an 83-year-old woman with periocular granuloma faciale accompanied by a marked anterior uveitis is presented; an association of periocular granuloma faciale with anterior uveitis has not been previously reported.

Decorative tattoos are associated with a variety of adverse cutaneous reactions. We describe a unique fibrosing vasculitic reaction to red tattoo ink. The histopathology was similar to that in localized chronic fibrosing vasculitis (LCFV), but sharply limited to sites of red tattoo ink injection and associated with florid verrucoid epidermal hyperplasia. INTRODUCTION: Churg-Strauss syndrome is a rare systemic vascularitis. This disease causes eosinophilic tissue infiltration. The most frequent manifestations are cortico-dependent asthma, mono- or polyneuropathy, paranasal sinus polyposis, and digestive and renal dysfunction. Salivary glands are very rarely involved.

Granuloma faciale (GF) is an unusual, treatment-resistant skin disorder that commonly affects the face. Several medical and surgical interventions are available that offer varying degrees of benefit. Both the condition and the treatment modalities can lead to significant disfigurement. The use of oral dapsone in the treatment of GF has been described in the literature, but there are no reports, to our knowledge, of the use of topical dapsone 5% gel (Aczone; Allergan Inc, Irvine, CA). We present a case of a patient with GF on the nasal tip successfully treated with topical dapsone.

UNLABELLED: Cutaneous cryptococcosis is an uncommon aetiology of chronic facial ulceration but which may be associated to a potentially lethal focus of cryptococcosis.
OBSERVATION: A 35-year-old AIDS patient under antiretroviral therapy, presented with a chronic facial ulceration. Histopathological examination of a biopsy of the facial ulceration showed an inflammatory granuloma and masses of yeasts. Mycological culture of the cerebrospinal fluid revealed Cryptococcus neoformans. The diagnosis of AIDS-related cutaneous cryptococcosis of the face and cryptococcal meningitis was concluded.

Granuloma faciale (GF) is an uncommon, cutaneous disorder characterized by one to several soft, erythematous to livid papules, plaques, or nodules, usually occurring on the face. Extra-facial lesions occur rarely. We present a case report of 33-year-old male who presented with keloidal lesions on face and left shoulder. The patient didn't respond with intralesional triamcinolone and showed poor response with the addition of topical tacrolimus. Surgical excision in consultation with plastic surgeons is planned.
